MU invited ten duos this year to do a project for their Dutch Design Week exhibition called XX.
Diamonds Chair is a close cooperation between a chaotic impulsive improviser ( together with Anna Ter Haar ) and a neurotic perfectionist calculator - driven by constant conflict. The project is a follow-up on our animation A Matter of Appearance. The technique we used for building up the chair was illustrated in our previous works - namely building up a canvas in a structured way to strip it afterwards from its rigid perfection.
Diamonds are temporary.
